Key Qualifications

The crucial duties of this position include:

– Process development and issue resolution

– Manages, plans and organizes project activities

– Develops business project plans/schedules

– Identifies and manages to major project milestones

– Obtains key personnel to work on project teams while balancing business needs and expectations

– Communicates project status on a regular basis

– Manages project risk throughout the life of the project

– Conducts weekly project meetings

– Develops and maintains issues logs to ensure accountability to the resolution of key issues

– Partners with IS&T to ensure that customer and stakeholder expectations are met and managed

– Incorporates Apple best practices for Project Management to ensure consistent delivery of a quality project

– Communicates with customers and stakeholders to ensure quality of product and service

– Prioritizes and delegates key project tasks to team members

– Ensures the business is prepared for the change

– Provides customers and stakeholders with alternatives when key problems surface on the project

– Writes formal business requirements documents for projects/ improvements

– Assists business units in crafting quality BHU Documents

– Builds business case documentation for Sr. Management on selected projects

– Assists in the roll out of the new project management methodology and ensuring the PM One’s and Two’s are utilizing the methodology

– Completes knowledge transfer to business unit employees to teach them how to write business requirements

– Acts as a liaison between the business and IS&T to ensure business project needs are adequately met with technology solutions

– Identifies and leads business process re-engineering projects

– Maintains a global/regional resource plan within a given business process discipline

– Provides consulting expertise through effective communication to customers, stakeholders, management, staff and peers to ensure expectations are met

– Experience / History of taking initiative to drive/lead/coordinate an effort among a team of people (formal project or not.)

– Experience of logistics, warehouse and back dock operation and system.

– Functional and system knowledge with warehouse and back dock processes

CANDIDATE REQUIREMENT

– Ability to create processes from a business need or issue

– Experience managing medium (6-8 month) to large (8-12+month) projects

– Proven ability to manage to deadlines and meet cost constraints

– Proficient at managing multiple efforts simultaneously

– Excellent interpersonal skills.

– Ability to maintain and develop relationships within the project team

– Ability to develop new strategies and options for new projects

– Understanding of the business processes as needed by the project

– Excellent organizational and documentation skills

– Excellent knowledge of the systems development lifecycle

– Proficient in business process flow diagramming

– Ability to facilitate Brainstorming sessions to gather requirements

– Ability to perform robust business process analysis and recommend solutions

– Literacy with MS Word, MS Excel, and basic project planning tools

LEVEL DISTINCTION

– Typically works on medium to complex cross functional projects

– Works with minimal to no supervision

– Has 6-9 years experience in project management, Process or Industrial Engineering experience

– Excellent communicator who adapts based on the level of the audience

– Produces work product of the highest quality with minimal review by supervisor

– Builds and maintains business relationships and monitors customer perceptions of the deliverables

– Monitors market / industry trends and emerging technologies to identify areas for competitive advantage.

– Experience with advanced supply chain systems preferred

– SAP or major ERP system experience is beneficial, but not required

– B2B communications (EDI, XML, FTP) experience is beneficial but not required

– Chinese language skill is beneficial but not required

Description

MFG / OEM BPR SPECIFIC REQUIREMENTS

– Process or Industrial Engineering experience preferred

– Direct Operational or IS&T experience preferred

– B2B communications (EDI, XML, FTP) experience

– International manufacturing experience a plus

– Some direct experience with Information System / Business Enterprise Application (PLUS: ERP or other inventory tracking/order processing systems.) Ability to develop test scenarios to exercise/validate software application features. Experience required (2+ years) in at least one of the following:

– next-generation system implementation project experience (subject matter expert preferred, not limited to Project Management/task tracking)

– 2nd-level application functional support (manage escalated trouble tickets, diagnose issues and identify resolution options)business operations Super User level

– Experience working in fast-paced environment with time-critical launch dates (not typically subject to negotiation.) Highly organized and able to identify critical path issues, and logically resolve obstacles based on relative dependencies.

Education & Experience

– Bachelor’s / MBA or Master’s Degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, or Operations Management is preferred.
