DIYguru teaches electric-vehicle engineering to tens of thousands of people, and YouTube is how most of them find us first. We are building out a channel of explainer videos — how a battery pack balances cells, what a BMS actually does, why an inverter switches the way it does, how fast charging works and what it costs a cell.

We are looking for freelance editors to cut those videos. You will be given a script, reference material, and access to our footage and technical illustration library. What we need from you is the edit: pacing that holds a general audience through a technical idea, motion graphics that explain rather than decorate, and the discipline to keep a ten-minute concept at six minutes.

This is explicitly open to editors based in Nigeria, Bangladesh and Indonesia. We work across these markets and want the channel edited by people who understand the audiences in them, not only an Indian one. Work is per video, briefed in advance, with a defined fee agreed before you start.

You do not need an EV background. You do need to be genuinely interested in explaining things, because that is the whole job — a beautifully cut video that leaves the viewer no clearer is a failed one.

Responsibilities

Edit YouTube explainer videos from supplied scripts, footage and reference material

Build motion graphics and animated diagrams that carry the technical explanation

Cut for retention — structure the opening, control pacing, remove anything that does not earn its place

Produce vertical Shorts cutdowns from the same material

Add captions and on-screen text, and prepare files for localisation

Deliver to an agreed brief and deadline, with one structured revision round

Keep project files organised and handed over cleanly

Requirements

Two or more years editing professionally, with a showreel or channel we can watch

Fluent in Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve or Final Cut

Demonstrable motion-graphics work — After Effects or equivalent, not just transitions

A feel for YouTube specifically: retention, pacing, how an opening earns the next thirty seconds

Comfortable with technical subject matter and willing to ask when something is unclear

Based in Nigeria, Bangladesh or Indonesia, and able to invoice and receive international payment

Reliable internet for transferring large media files

Nice to have

Prior educational, science or engineering explainer work

3D capability — Blender or similar — for mechanical assemblies

Sound design and audio repair

Experience editing for a channel that actually grew, and the ability to say what worked

Working knowledge of a local language for future localisation

Benefits

Per-video fee agreed before you start, paid on delivery

A real brief, a script and a named point of contact — not a vague request

Editor credit on published videos

Repeat work — we are building an ongoing channel, not commissioning one-offs

Free access to DIYguru's EV programmes if you want to understand the subject properly

We are looking for a single trainer to own our complete Embedded Systems training programme in and around Hyderabad, delivered both online and in person.

The programme runs as two tracks. Track A is a two-month foundation covering C programming fundamentals and embedded peripherals — GPIO, ADC/DAC, timers, PWM and RTC. Track B is a six-month professional track covering advanced embedded work, including internal and external interfaces and development tooling such as Keil, Atmel Studio and Arduino, followed by IoT: architecture, Raspberry Pi and cloud integration.

What makes this role different from a standard trainer post is the hardware. Both tracks are integrated with DIYguru's in-house EV Embedded and EVSE testing kits, so alongside the standard curriculum you will design and run practical experiments on our own equipment. Learners should leave having worked on real EV and charging hardware, not only development boards.

The role also includes learner support and counselling. You will be the technical voice prospective learners speak to, and helping them understand whether the programme fits is part of the job — it materially affects conversion, and it is better done by someone who actually teaches the material.

Responsibilities

Deliver Track A (2 months): C programming fundamentals and embedded peripherals — GPIO, ADC/DAC, timers, PWM, RTC

Deliver Track B (6 months): advanced embedded interfaces, development tooling (Keil, Atmel Studio, Arduino) and IoT — architecture, Raspberry Pi, cloud integration

Design and run hands-on labs on DIYguru's in-house EV Embedded and EVSE testing kit hardware

Deliver both online and in-person sessions in and around Hyderabad

Set and mark assessments, and maintain competency records for certification

Provide ongoing learner support through both tracks

Support counselling conversations with prospective learners to improve programme conversion

Maintain lab and kit readiness for every session

Requirements

Three or more years of hands-on embedded development experience

Strong embedded C and microcontroller bring-up across GPIO, ADC/DAC, timers, PWM and RTC

Working knowledge of IoT architecture, Raspberry Pi and cloud integration

Practical experience with Keil, Atmel Studio, Arduino or equivalent toolchains

Confident delivering both online and in-person to mixed-ability cohorts

Comfortable running hardware labs and debugging live in front of a group

Based in or around Hyderabad

Nice to have

EV, EVSE or charging-infrastructure exposure

CAN, LIN or automotive communication experience

Telugu in addition to English and Hindi

Prior counselling, admissions or learner-facing experience

Train-the-trainer or ASDC assessor certification

Benefits

Train-the-trainer certification paid for

Hybrid delivery — online and on-site

Full access to every DIYguru programme

Health cover for you and dependants

Work directly on DIYguru's own EV and EVSE hardware

ev.care is DIYguru's EV ownership and aftermarket venture. Most workshops replace a failed controller or BMS as a whole unit; we want to repair them properly at component level, which is cheaper for the owner and far better for the vehicle.

You will diagnose faults on motor controllers and battery management systems, trace them to board level, and carry out the repair — reading schematics, probing with a scope, reworking SMD components. CAN diagnostics is central to the job: most of what arrives will need to be understood through the bus before a single screw comes out.

There is a design element too. Where a repair is not viable or a part is unobtainable, you will design replacement boards and adapter hardware, so PCB design capability matters as much as repair skill.

This is a hands-on bench role at our Delhi facility, working alongside the service advisers and with full access to DIYguru's technical training.

Responsibilities

Diagnose faults on EV motor controllers and battery management systems

Perform CAN-based diagnostics to isolate faults before teardown

Carry out board-level repair including SMD rework and component replacement

Read and interpret schematics; trace faults through power and signal stages

Design replacement PCBs and adapter hardware where repair is not viable

Bench-test and validate repaired units before they go back on a vehicle

Maintain repair records, failure analysis notes and a parts inventory

Feed recurring failure patterns back to the training and content teams

Requirements

Two or more years in electronics repair, hardware design or test engineering

Working knowledge of the CAN protocol and CAN-based diagnostics

PCB design capability — schematic capture and layout in KiCad, Altium, Eagle or similar

Confident with board-level diagnosis and SMD rework

Comfortable with an oscilloscope, multimeter, bench supply and electronic load

Understanding of power electronics — MOSFETs, gate drivers, current sensing

Willing to work onsite in Delhi

Nice to have

Direct experience with EV motor controllers or BMS hardware

Battery pack assembly or cell balancing experience

Firmware or embedded C exposure

High-voltage safety training

Benefits

Full access to every DIYguru EV programme

Health cover including accident cover for bench and lab staff

Properly equipped bench — scope, rework station, programmable loads

Route into ev.care's engineering team as the venture grows

ev.care is DIYguru's EV ownership and aftermarket venture. The service adviser is the person an owner actually deals with, and the role that decides whether they come back.

You will receive vehicles, understand the complaint, translate it into a job card the technicians can act on, explain the work and the cost to the customer in plain language, and manage the job through to handover. EV owners are often anxious about service — the technology is new, the vehicle is expensive, and misinformation is everywhere. Being straight with people matters more here than upselling.

You will work closely with the technical team and have full access to DIYguru's EV training to build the depth this needs.

Responsibilities

Receive vehicles and record customer complaints accurately

Translate complaints into clear job cards for the technical team

Explain diagnosis, work required and cost to customers in plain language

Manage job progress, timelines and customer updates

Handle the handover and follow up on satisfaction

Maintain service records and warranty documentation

Escalate technical issues to the engineering team

Requirements

Two or more years as a service adviser, service coordinator or in automotive customer handling

Comfortable explaining technical work to non-technical customers

Patient and straight with people, including when the news is bad

Strong spoken Hindi and English

Willing to work onsite in Delhi, including some Saturdays

Nice to have

EV or hybrid vehicle exposure

Dealership or OEM service background

Experience with a DMS or service CRM

Benefits

Full access to every DIYguru EV programme — we will train you on the technology

Health cover for you and dependants

Performance incentive linked to customer satisfaction

Structured path into technical or centre-management roles
