Requirements

Position: Battery Engineering Head at kWh Bikes (EV)
Location: Bengaluru
Education: B.E./B.Tech/M.S./ M.Tech in Mechanical Engineering or Thermal Engineering or related field
Work Experience: Minimum 5 years of experience building batteries in the EV industry
Excellent communication skills, verbal and written

Primary Responsibilities include

Designing and architecting battery systems for Electric 2-Wheelers
DFA, DFM, 8D reporting, BOM, part and assembly level drawing creation
Developing strength and durability FE models
Understanding electrochemistry at a cell level and selecting the right cells for use
Thermal management using simulation software like Ansys, or STAR CCM
Working with teams responsible for the design and development of the BMS
Working alongside engineers to do SOC estimation and prediction algorithms
Extracting data from various sensors from the battery pack and running analysis
Taking over the responsibility for engineering change releases
Defining electrical architecture and wiring harness for the batteries
