Roles and Responsibilities

The Engineer – Mechanical Component demonstrates strong engineering acumen in Turbine components design, develops a culture of innovation and collaborate successfully with team to commercialize new product design. This role will utilize the experience or expertise to lead and solve problems, develop and execute objectives for self and have ability to effect short-term and some long-term business goals of GTES organization.

Execute the design, analysis, or evaluation of assigned projects using sound engineering principles and adhering to business standards, practices, procedures, and product / program requirements
Come out with the optimized configuration in terms of geometry/cost/performance/material etc. as per guidelines.
Document technical data generated by the assigned project consistent with engineering policies and procedures
Provide timely communications on significant issues or developments
Participate on teams assigned to address organizational initiatives and generic issues
Participate as a presenter or reviewer in technical and program reviews
Share engineering information and promote open dialogue
Knowledge of current products and determine design space for improvising the same with the help of and also determine entitlements for competitors, and those established by basic physics.
Assure proper documentation of technical data generated for the assigned projects and/or tasks consistent with engineering policies and procedures.
Required Qualifications

B. Tech/M. Tech/M. E. in Mechanical with specialization with excellent academic record.
Minimum of 2 years of experience in Turbo Machinery components design experience or in a related engineering discipline.
Strong analytical skills working independently and in a team.
In-depth understanding of engineering technology and tools
Strong engineering problem solving capabilities
Desired Characteristics

Master’s Degree in Engineering
Process focused with the ability to assess and improve processes and work on methods
Ability to effectively manage multiple project responsibilities
Familiarity with life management, fatigue evaluations, high temperature calculations and mission analysis
Strong oral and written communication skills
Excellent interpersonal and leadership skills
