Job Description

Responsibilities:

End to End Product Ownership, meeting all turbocharger functional requirements (Performance, Reliability, Quality, Costs & Timing) to meet engine specs.
Matching, Design, Simulation, Validation (DVP&R), Release reports and documentation
Accountable for Internal & External APQP on full Bill Of Material – Sign off assembly, component PPAP deviations (APQP output).
Customer Interface – Single Point of Contact to Customer for Launch.
Lead & Prioritize project team work to meet project objectives – Prototypes, ODT, PPAP and SOP on time @ cost target.
For complex projects will lead larger teams of designers and product engineers and pull in resources from SME’s (outside of the GBE’s).
Accountable for Design and Validation work planning & on time delivery in support of Program Management Milestones including Design Freeze
Accountable for 2D & 3D creation and quality according to documented Design Standards & guidelines;
Ensure proper application & use of standard Design processes & tools, as defined by functional matrix
Lead cross-functional synchronization with other engineering / quality / procurement project teams from technical stand point.
Support the hiring process, hiring decision, on-boarding, and UCP process for Development Engineers and Designers;
Support Design quality issue investigations (8D’s) and lead implementation of corrective actions;
Responsible to Build and Meet Annual Operating Plan.
Full accountabilty for team performance
Lead team member performance, evaluations, recognition, and support talent development in coordition with functional matrix
YOU MUST HAVE:

Bachelors Degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing Engineering
WE VALUE:

Min 7 years of relevant automotive experience
Turbomachinery and/or Electric vehicle thermal management
Engineering leader with demonstrated experience in direct customer interface. Prior product validation and launch experience, product development and component design.
Proven problem solving skills, including ability to interpret data, define actions, and implement solutions to ensure flawless launches.
Demonstrated skills in

communicating and dealing with customers of different segments & cultures
ability to lead multi-skilled project teams
presentation and negotiation
