Job Description

As a Lead Engineer – Mechanical Component, you will be responsible for:

Developing new solutions under guidance and/or in a team setting or based upon precedents in the organizations.

Delivering products as part of a team. Works on cross functional teams. Alternatively: Leads analytical and design activities using proven technologies and vested approaches and methods.

Leading & Executing the design, analysis, or evaluation of assigned projects using sound engineering principles and adhering to business standards, practices, procedures, and product / program requirements

Providing technical leadership to personnel supporting the assigned project. Also, Document technical data generated by the assigned project consistent with engineering policies and procedures

Providing timely communications on significant issues or developments. Also, Leading & Participating on teams assigned to address organizational initiatives and generic issues

Leading as a presenter or reviewer in technical and program reviews. Assuring proper documentation of technical data generated for the assigned projects and/or tasks consistent with engineering policies and procedures

Providing support for both internal and external customers and vendors.

Working together with business leadership at SPB and EB level. Specifies needs, communicates about project approach and presents outcomes of research done.

To be successful in this role you will:

Have Bachelor / Master in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited college or university with minimum 5 + yrs. of experience in an engineering position

Have familiarity with surface pressure control equipment, API 6A / 17D / 5L specifications

Have understanding of product rationalization and restructuring methods. Also, have good technical aptitude, including applicable engineering tools and systems

Have software proficiency in MathCad and ProEngineer / Team center /PLM, MS Project

Have ability to interpret Finite Element Analysis results. Also, have working knowledge of Solid Mechanics and Machine Design
