As System Test Engineer – eMobility charging Solutions ,you will be part of a highly dynamic, modern, and distributed development team contributing and driving forward the development of the “EV charging infrastructure and associated software products” from Siemens.
Work on embedded, cloud connected products, hardware (power electronics), and services, including AI, cloud computing, and digital IOT devices.
Responsible for Electric Vehicle Supply Equipment testing with the backend systems (CPO and eMSPs)
Perform continuous system testing (Interoperability test of Hardware and Web based applications) to
support software releases.
Product validation and verification on system level. You will be responsible for the quality of our software
Design Test cases based on complex networking scenarios including multiple communication protocols and connectivity options as per industry standard.
Perform EV Infrastructure interoperability testing including cloud communication, EV service providers (OCPP), etc.
Design, improve and perform product level system tests for maximum coverage for customer use cases.
Design/Improve Automation tests to optimize test time and support endurance tests for all networking scenarios.
You lead by example by driving the implementing of functional and performance testing strategies into the development cycle.
You will drive collaboration with the global R&D community and operations team to verify bug fix and recreate issues from user feedback.
Assist in debugging the products to support the SW development team.
Perform testing and/or evaluation/validation of complete system and subsystem analytical models or actual system implementation.

We need a graduate – Bachelor’s Degree in electrical engineering – BE / B.Tech / MCA / ME / M.Tech with 6+ years of relevant experience.
Knowledge of electrical systems, specifically EV charging solutions is highly desired. Holistic knowledge of relevant charging infrastructure standards and regulations (IEC-61851,61850,62196,63110,P3030.5)
Know-how in digital control systems, signal processing, communication interfaces (Modbus, etc.) as well as charging communication protocols (MODBUS ,OCPI, OCPP and ISO 15118)
Proven testing experience on electrification, IoT, Cloud based applications, or relevant projects.
High attention to detail and dedicated to quality and excellence Proficient in use of Microsoft Office Suite
Experience with Lean / Agile Methodologies – Minimum 1 year experience in data analytics, cloud solutions, application development and test automation.
Working knowledge of embedded Linux, webAPIs, OCPP, MODBUS, Linux systems, data structures, cloud communication.
Knowledge of industry standards for demand response and load management and minimum 1 year experience in collaboration Tools, source control tools such as Agile, Confluence, Git, Jira, x-ray.
Working knowledge of relational databases using SQL
Experience with OCPP and OCPP backends (charge point operators and eMobility service providers).
Working knowledge in embedded ARM microprocessors, Operating Systems such as Embedded Linux, Unix/Linux and technologies such as TCP/IP, IPv6,Ethernet, WiFi. Bluetooth, NFC, Cellular modems.
Basic competence in programming languages including but not limited to; C, C#, C++, Python, Linux, node.js, ASP.NET, Microsoft Azure, and AWS.is desired.
Knowledge about agile working methodologies is desired (e.g. SAFe).
Strategic and economic thinking and acting as well as proper organizational and analytical skills
Working in international teams and proactive communication skills are very desirable.
