Senior Staff Solution Architect – Embedded Systems / Senior Director of Embedded Platform Software & HW Test Engineering
What You Will Bring to ChargePoint
As a Solution Architect, you will work to help the team architect, build and deploy embedded software solutions.
Working with product management, hardware, regulatory and other teams to generate requirements; subsequently work with engineering teams to develop software design, etc.
Take projects / programs through the different stages of development – from concept, through development builds, to production and beyond
Coordinate software delivery schedules and drive teams to meet committed delivery dates
Collaborate with members of the firmware, software QA, cloud, hardware, mechanical, regulatory, test, product and support teams during product design and implementation
Actively managing scrum and agile methodologies
Evangelize and promote engineering best practices
Strong sense of Software development lifecycle for embedded systems (aka hardware development)
Demonstrated ability to deliver and support cloud-connected software running on commercial/industrial hardware
Demonstrated ability and inclination to make critical system-level design decisions and drive projects from start to finish
Experience with working through bring up phase of new embedded systems / technology products
12+ years of experience working on embedded system products using C/C++, and shell scripting (bash or equivalent)
BS in Computer Science or equivalent (MS preferred)
Preferred To Have
Managing and releasing scaled agile frameworks through regular release cadence
Exposure in connectivity architecture using Wireless (Cellular, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and NFC), and wired (Ethernet, CAN) interfaces a plus
C/C++ coding in a Linux environment; modern C++ is preferred
Working with EV / EVSE products is a big plus
