Job Description

Collaborating with the R and D, production and other key stakeholders to understand the upcoming projects
Drafting the cost estimates of each of the components and the quantity required to commence the projects
Estimating the time requirements to identify suppliers, procure and delivery components
Calculating and analyzing different ways to optimize the cost and time that has been estimated
Communicating any concerns and recommend solutions without compromising quality or service and aim for cost optimization
Coordinating within internal team and key stakeholders for approvals and budgets sanctions to proceed with procurements for piloting the projects or full initiation
Scouting for suppliers globally or within local market that meet the requirements along with conformance to the quality standards and certifications required by the company
Adopting the VAVE framework to support the teams to bring in value-added cost-effective product
Ensuring internal process compliance is in line with the ISO requirements such as documentations, BOM etc while preparing the proposals and estimations
Keeping abreast and ensuring adherence to the best practices in advance purchasing and aligning to policies, processes and procedures to aid operational performance
Essential Qualification
BE/MBA
Desired Qualification
Master in Engineering or MBA/ PGDM
Courses on Supply Chain Management
Procurement and Supply diploma courses
Strong Purchase function processes, Strong SAP (MM module) / SRM system knowledge, different Commodities of auto products, BOM Product cost mapping & analysis, Commodities Market.
Preferred Technical Skills And Certification
Project Management Program
Six Sigma belt /Lean management practices
ISO standard
SAP PP and related modules
Strong knowledge of the parts and materials assigned and involved in projects

Work Experience
8-15 years of experience in the industry
Good experience in large scale institutional purchasing and distribution activities
Preferred Industry Experience
Automotive or Auto Ancillary companies
Engineering Goods/ Manufacturing Industry
Strong communication skills with ability to collaborate across key functions in the organization and across other country locations and influence them positively
Good business acumen with strong knowledge in procurement processes and tools, MS Excel and other reporting tools
Demonstrate high standard of ethics and professionalism
Should display responsiveness towards customers with a focus towards customer satisfaction
Should be able to plan effectively and identify priorities or key issues in a complex situation
Good understanding of processes with ability to identify and suggest ways to overcome the same
Should possess ability to negotiate, making sound decisions in a timely and confident manner
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects/resources simultaneously
Ability to recognize merits of different approaches and use them in accomplishing work activities
Ability to drive the performance of team through clear goal setting, upskilling and providing timely and constructive performance feedback
