One of our company ‘Stumpp Schuele & Somappa Springs’ is India’s largest spring manufacturer serving for decades to clients like Hyundai, Suzuki, BOSCH, Honda, etc. SSS manufactures 34,000 tons of springs in 12 Factories in India and one in Grand Rapids, Michigan, USA.

At TRESA, we are building EVs with a grounds up approach and first principles. The Battery Pack for our platforms have an 800V architecture with active cooling techniques. We are aiming to achieve homologated products that can survive harsh weather and road conditions with IP rated assemblies and optimized thermal management. We are looking forward to have talented and hard-working individuals onboard with us on our endeavor.

Responsibilities:-

Generate coupled electro-thermal, ECM and CHT models at cell, module and pack levels in ANSYS environment
Build CFD models and conduct analysis on cell, module and pack levels under different battery operation conditions and boundary conditions
Analyze different active cooling techniques for battery packs and evaluate effect of specific design attributes on overall thermal performance.
Work with the Battery Pack Test Engineers to appropriately replicate the simulative boundary conditions in physical testing or vice-versa.
Validate CFD model using physical testing data.
Use validated CFD models to predict the behavior of battery packs in abusive scenarios and develop heat transfer, fluid flow and combustion models accordingly.
Create digital twin of battery pack in ANSYS environment.
Performing analysis on different combination of materials and coolant types for battery packs based on thermal performance while keeping the weight and cost optimized.
Detect critical heat zones in battery packs and form cell temperature monitoring strategies accordingly.

Qualifications:-

B.Tech/M.Tech in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent relevant experience
Mastery in Heat Transfer, Thermodynamics, Fluid Flow and numerical method concepts, FEA, FVM and FDM concepts.
Mastery in using ANSYS-FLUENT with atleast 1-2 years of experience.
Familiarity with CATIA and ANSYS-SPACECLAIM is preferred
Preferred experience in stand-alone or coupled analysis of electronic components for thermal performance
Knowledge of how lithium batteries work
A detail oriented personality with great documentation and reporting skills
Zeal to work on fast timelines with minimum management required.
Experience with student Formula Vehicle is a plus.
