We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced CVT Powertrain Engineer to design and develop a Continuously Variable Transmission (CVT) powertrain powered by an electric motor. The successful candidate will be responsible for the complete design and development of the powertrain, from concept through to production.
Develop and design a CVT powertrain for an electric motor application, including component selection, sizing, and packaging.
Perform simulations and analyses to optimize the powertrain design for performance, efficiency, and durability.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the powertrain meets all system requirements, including vehicle performance, emissions, and safety.
Prototype and test the powertrain, both in the laboratory and on the road, to validate its performance and durability.
Work closely with suppliers to ensure the timely delivery of components and subsystems, and to resolve any technical issues.
Develop and maintain accurate documentation of the powertrain design, including schematics, BOMs, and testing results.
Stay up-to-date with the latest technologies and trends in electric powertrain development.
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in powertrain design and development, with specific experience in CVT design and electric motor applications.
Strong knowledge of transmission systems, gears, bearings, and other related components.
Familiarity with simulation and analysis tools such as MATLAB, Simulink, and ANSYS.
Hands-on experience with prototyping and testing, both in the laboratory and on the road.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
Ability to work independently, as well as in a team environment.
Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
