About the job
Designation: Testing Engineer (R&D)

Qualification: BE /Electrical/ ECE / Mechanical

Preferred industry: EV – Competitors / OEMs worked Vehicle Testing 48V~400V,2W/3W/4W)

Experience:2-5 years

Location: Chennai

Key Accountabilities / Responsibilities:

Performance Testing of Motors and Generators.
Complete knowledge on Motor Build and assembly function.
Complete knowledge of various types of Motors and their Performances
Switching algorithms (Hall Sensor, PWM, FOC, SVPWM,)
BLDC Motor Feedback mechanisms
Speed Control, Torque Control Concepts
Power Efficiency Measurements & Thermal Stability Testing
CAN Communication and Calibration Protocols
Adherence to relevant customer & ISO Standards
Preparation of Time Plan and Exec
Knowledge on designing the New facility creation & Test fixtures.
Able to work in shifts ( 24/7 Lab)
Good knowledge in Report preparation
Failure analysis of DV & warranty parts
Documentation to confirm to IATF & TS audits

Key Performance Indicators:

Performance testing and Report Generation for Air Cooled and Water-Cooled Machines
Analyzing the waveforms during testing
CAN Communications in various tools to control the machine and get the feedback.
Flashing the SW in the DUT with the latest version of SW
Full understanding of the Dyno Control concepts.
Complete measurement of various physical quantities like Voltage, Current, Speed, Torque, Temperature, Pressure etc.
Using different Motor feedback systems like Hall Sensor, Encoder, Resolver
Complete follow up of Endurance testing and looking for Degradation of the same in Pre and Post test.
Setting up new test facility for various Customer DV plans
Calibration activities for the tester for the various sensors and measurements
Adherence to time plan & Product specifications
Motor and controller integration
Vehicle level integration and Testing
Creating Database to track validation activities.
