RACE is building and deploying India’s most advanced battery swapping infrastructure for use in 3-wheelers and 2-wheelers. We are a deep-tech start-up building and pushing the boundaries of battery swapping technology.

RACE was founded in Hyderabad in 2018 by two BITSian alumni with the intention of accelerating the electric vehicle adoption in India.

Roles & Responsibilities

Handle complete homologation activities for Electric Vehicles including traction battery pack and full vehicle certification.
Work with testing agencies such as ARAI, ICAT, GARC to schedule, and oversee completion of development and certification testing.
You will need to coordinate between the RACE R&D team and external test agencies to carry out product testing and certification.
Maintain and submit precise documentation for legal and regulatory compliance.
Attend and represent RACE at policy meetings and stakeholder consultations with NITI Aayog, BIS and other EV associations as necessary.
Drive policy framework in technical and policy related workstreams alongside other automotive companies.
Desired Skills:

Homologation and certification exposure in automobile segment.
Ability to interpret technical and scientific documents involved in AIS and IS published for certification.
Past experience in working alongside industry stakeholders in technical discussions.
Past experience in overseeing certification testing at test agencies.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills with documentation abilities.

Qualifications:

Bachelors in engineering or relevant disciplines.
3+ years of work experience as Homologation Engineer.
1+ years of experience in liaising with BIS/NITI Aayog.
Bonus:

Experience in working with testing agencies, specifically ARAI/ICAT.
Experience in working in technical committees in the government.
