About the job
We’re currently working with a Startup in a 2-wheeler Electric Vehicle in Indonesia, that is currently looking for a Seasoned Professional in the area of Drivetrain Systems, especially in the Battery Management System for Electric vehicles to join their team in Jakarta, Indonesia.

Job Description:

Interpret and translate the high level vehicle performance requirements into system and subsystem in order to cascade it into hardware and software interfaces
Supporting the development of drivetrain system technical specification, including system definition, boundary diagrams, power moding, drivability, charging, durability and reliability requirements
Quantify the performance of different drivetrain system choices and optimize system choices according to the cost function
Analyse and benchmark new technology in terms of battery cell chemistry, battery pack design, BMS, E-motor, and Motor controller unit
Develop core calibration method and working closely with mechanical engineering department to achieve performance and drivability target by configuring the controller unit at the best possible way
Support control system and software in powertrain systems integration. Analyse calibration results to identify improvements and generate engineering change requests.
Maintain relationship and directly communicate with suppliers
Perform DFMEA, provide analysis, troubleshooting and drive solution for issue in the field
Interface with internal and external stakeholders for system and subsystem relates to vehicle performance
Hire, guide, train, oversee and supervise required developers and engineers

Job Requirements

Electrical engineering education background
Have 5+ years of experience and expertise in working within Automotive OEM or Tier 1 Electrical component systems (eg Bosch, Nidec, ZF Getrag, Delta) with automotive application
Having deep knowledge and understanding of the implementation of ISO and IEC standards in a vehicle system is a must
Strong ownership to deliver end results independently and able to nurture and grow the team as required
Keywords of skills: Electrical engineering; power electronics; Battery Management System; Automotive; High Voltage
Having IP in designing HV systems is a Plus
Authored/co-authored publications on HV systems application in mobility space is a Plus
