Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

Respond quickly to all service requests and efficiently repairing systems
Identify, troubleshoot and repair mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic and simple electronics, instrumentation & automation problems on plant production equipment with minimal downtime
Performs preventative maintenance per defined interval/schedule in a timely manner and documents maintenance concerns/resolutions and status reports as needed.
Recognizes and corrects potential equipment failure or unsafe conditions and communicates this to Supervisor.
Ensures that all work performed meets required standard and is in accordance with plant policies and procedures.
Utilizes appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) including, but not limited to, safety glasses, face shields, hearing protection, safety shoes, gloves etc.
Responsible for proper care/cleaning of tools, parts, materials and work area.
Responsible for providing coverage in the absence of other Maintenance Technicians and other duties as assigned by supervisor.
Performs Equipment Setups and Changeovers with accuracy.
Follow current compliance regulations and standards
Document maintenance related information.
Carry out daily LLF (Look, Listen, Feel) activities and Condition Based Maintenance philosophy.
Drawing management for all modification /upgrade/ new equipment induction.
Read diagrams, sketches, operation manuals and manufacturing specifications and work accordingly.
Good knowledge of computer systems, troubleshooting of equipment – including fine mechanical setups as well as Electronics, Instrumentation & automation related breakdowns

Qualifications

Education:

Diploma in Mechanical / Mechatronics Engineering

Experience and Skills:

5 to 10 years of experience in an industrial maintenance / service environment.
Shall have proficiency in troubleshooting / Maintenance of high-speed machine/Automatic machine having computer interfaces, PLC, HMI, automation etc.
Shall have knowledge about GMP and GDP
Experience in Pharma/FMCG/Medical devices is preferred
Strong mechanical repair/troubleshooting skills.
Must be able to satisfactorily demonstrate proficiency in Machine Repair.
Functional knowledge of mechanical components (valves, pipe fittings, bearings, motors, gearboxes etc.).
Ability to read and/or interpret mechanical, pneumatic and hydraulic blueprints or schematics.
Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to communicate with all levels of the organization both written and verbal.
Computer proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and ability to learn e-Maintenance software for daily usage.
Strong organizational, prioritization, and problem-solving skills with focus on attention to detail.
Be able to work both in independently and in a team, environment completing objectives efficiently with a sense of responsibility.
Be able to safely complete the physical tasks associated with the essential job functions. These tasks include climbing, walking, lifting, bending, standing, carrying and squatting etc.
Be able and willing to work in non-ideal environments such as: confined spaces, working at heights, dusty/dirty and around chemicals with required safety permits and PPEs.
Understand, practice and enforce safe work practices related to the following: respiratory protection, elevated work platforms, fall protection, control of hazardous energy (Lockout/Tagout procedure), fire protection systems, electrical safety, forklift/ hoist operation, cutting, confined space entry, usage of PPEs.
AutoCAD knowledge will be an added advantage.
Knowledge of Robotic systems/Vison System is desired but not mandatory.
