The Position will be responsible for designing and detail engineering of engineering projects for fine-chemical business.
This would include finalisation of data sheets, technical proposals, equipment sizing and selection, Equipment Layout finalisation, preparing detail engineering package, and pre-commissioning activity at site as when required.
Basic work for document transfer schedule for new projects being commercialised to meet the timeline.
Participation in the meetings & provide inputs as & when required by Dept. head.
Manage engineering projects of various sizes in utility and process plant.
Should have good design knowledge of Steel structure, Pressure vessels, heat exchangers, all types of pumps, compressors, High pressure Boiler, Cooling towers, Chillers, HVAC etc
Sizing, selection and design finalization for Carbon steel, Stainless steel and plastic equipment
Sizing and selection of various CS, SS and lined pipe and pipe fittings
Should have commissioning and troubleshooting experience of process and utility plants
Should have knowledge of various engineering codes and standards like IBR regulation for installation and selection of high pressure boiler IS, ASME, ASHRAE, DIN and API etc
Prepare and review of equipment specification and technical discussion with vendors
Review of vendor proposals, specifications and finalization of ordering specifications
Review of vendor drawing and technical documents proposals, specifications
Lead a project team to ensure project deliverables on time
Work with project execution team in close loop to deliver all the detail engineering documents
Ensure quality and cost control during the design and procurement of equipment’s
Prepare and finalization of utility P&ID and plant equipment layout
Prepare and understand the piping layout, Piping GA and correct piping BOQ
Understand and approve the structural drawing.
Understand the structural BOQ.
Knowledge of SAP and MS-Projects
Cost estimation of project based on P&IDs.
Monitoring of project schedules and project cost to track work progress, budget status.
Handover of all engineering documents to site before start pre-commissioning.
Continuously improve the equipment specification to ensure cost effectiveness and efficiency
Participate in selection of highly qualified basic and detailed engineering team.
Identify training and development needs.
