Job Description

Your tasks:

Increases profitability by driving design changes or substituting suppliers reducing overall BOM cost.
Facilitate cross functional workshops to develop cost reduction ideas.
Lead technical discussions and cross-functional project meetings.
Visit suppliers (global locations) to analyze their manufacturing process/materials/tooling costs.
Work with the Test and Validation group to plan and maintain timing to validate the cost-reduction ideas.
Present cost reduction ideas to internal and external stakeholders.
Support Design to Cost by generating design alternatives to achieve the product cost targets.
Provide relevant reporting for cost decisions (status reports of ongoing activities, progress towards savings target implementation, and forward workshop planning).
Drive design changes through engineering systems using established engineering processes (e.g. CPR, SRC, TRB, and CRB).

Your profile:

Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering with general technical understanding of Electronic/Mechanical components is required.
Min. 4-8 years of previous design engineering experience within electronics (camera hardware design and Braking ECU design).
Previous cost reduction by design improvement experience is desired.
Flexible, open minded, self-motivated and with an ability to lead teams without direct authority
Fluent in English language.
