Job Description

Role:

Electric Vehicle Thermal Management System Engineer

Responsibilities:

Understand electrical architecture of HEV/EV
Define the system diagram of the EV for thermal system
Define the controller architecture, interfaces (electrical and physical), and functions for thermal management system of EV
Define the high level and detailed requirements for thermal system and controls for EV
Perform system simulation and sizing for thermal management system of EV
Develop the thermal management controller functions and software, including logic development, MIL evaluation, HIL evaluation and vehicle level validation using MBD approach
Develop diagnostics for thermal controllers
Implement ISO 26262 Functional Safety requirements
Functional Testing, System/Component Benchmarking, and database creation
Working with stakeholders within the organization and outside (suppliers, consultants) for above development
Technical/ Functional:

Working experience of automobile thermal management system and / or HVAC system
Working experience of controls for automobile thermal management system / HVAC System
Experience of Thermal Management Simulation in Matlab/Simulink or any other tool.
Experience of Model Based Design with Matlab Simulink/State flow
Experience in testing at controller level (HIL) and vehicle level
Exposure to appropriate Regulations and Standards of HEV/EV such as AIS 038, AIS 102, AIS 048 and AIS 084 etc.
ECU testing, excellent electrical/electronic troubleshooting skills
Knowledge of ISO 26262
Exposure to Hybrid / Electric Thermal management system & Control Design, development, Verification and Validation. Familiarity with on board diagnostics.

Educational Qualification

Essential:

B.E / B. Tech in Mechanical Engineering/ Electrical Engineering/ Electrical & Electronics/ Electronics & Communication
Minimum 60 % marks
Desirable:

M.E / M. Tech in Control Systems / Power Electronics / Mechatronics and project work related to Electric Vehicle / Hybrid Electric Vehicle
