What this site stores in your browser.
Short version: almost nothing. This page describes what jobs.diyguru.org actually does, rather than covering every cookie a website could theoretically set.
What we use today
This careers site runs no analytics, no advertising pixels and no third-party scripts. Fonts and images are served from our own domain, so loading a page here does not tell any other company that you visited.
The only things stored are:
- Security cookies set by Cloudflare, our content delivery network, to distinguish genuine visitors from automated traffic. These are strictly necessary — without them we cannot serve the site safely.
- Two small entries in your browser's local storage: one recording that you dismissed the recruitment-fraud notice, and one recording your choice on this banner. Neither is sent to us or to anyone else; both stay on your device.
What we don't use
No Google Analytics, no Meta Pixel, no LinkedIn Insight Tag, no session recording, no cross-site advertising identifiers. If we add analytics in future it will load only after you have agreed to it through the banner, and this page will be updated before that happens.
Applying for a role
The Apply button takes you to a Google Form on google.com. That is a separate service with its own cookies and privacy terms, which we do not control. Nothing you type into that form passes through this site.
Sharing a job on LinkedIn, WhatsApp or X likewise hands you over to that platform, under their terms rather than ours.
Changing your mind
You can change your choice at any time — it is stored on your device, so clearing your browser data also clears it. We ask again after twelve months.
