Six ways to become part of DIYguru.

A permanent job is only one of them. People join us as interns who ship real work, fellows who spend a year on one hard problem, trainers who teach on their own schedule, freshers with no experience at all, and students who build the community on their own campus.

Full-time roles

The core of the DIYguru group — content, media, training, engineering, operations, partnerships and everything that keeps a hundred cohorts running. Most of our open requisitions at any given time are full-time roles, and most of them are hired for capability rather than pedigree.

Who it's for

Any graduate or diploma holder; we do not filter on college tier
Relevant experience for the role, or demonstrable work that stands in for it
Willingness to work hands-on with hardware, learners or both

Internships

Always open

DIYguru internships are not shadowing exercises. Interns ship courseware, build lab rigs, cut video, run cohort operations and write research that goes out under their own name. A large share of our full-time team started here.

Who it's for

Pre-final and final year students across engineering, design, media and management
Recent graduates within twelve months of completion
Available for a minimum of three months, at least part-time

Freshers & campus hiring

We hire freshers directly into roles with a structured twelve-week onboarding: EV fundamentals, the DIYguru teaching method, and supervised delivery before you own anything alone. If a listing says zero years, it genuinely means zero years.

B.E./B.Tech, diploma, B.Des, B.Sc, BBA and equivalent

Fellowships

Always open

The DIYguru Fellowship is for practitioners and academics who want to spend a defined period building something substantial — a curriculum for a new technology area, an applied research study, or a training programme for a market we have not entered yet. Fellows work with our leadership, publish under their own name, and keep the credit.

Who it's for

Faculty, industry practitioners, doctoral researchers and experienced professionals
A specific proposal, or willingness to take one of our published problem statements
Six to twelve months of committed part-time or full-time capacity

Trainers & guest faculty

Our trainer panel is how most working professionals join DIYguru. You take sessions in your area of depth — battery systems, embedded, HV safety, ADAS, hydrogen — either as scheduled guest faculty or as a recurring cohort trainer. Empanelment is open year-round and independent of whether a full-time role is posted.

Three or more years of hands-on industry or teaching experience in your subject
Comfortable delivering online, on campus, or in an industry setting
Available for at least one cohort block per quarter

Freelance & contract

Some of what we need is a defined piece of work rather than a job: a video series, a curriculum module, a corporate programme delivered over eight weeks. We contract specialists directly for those, brief them properly, pay per project or per day, and come back to the good ones. Several of these engagements are open to freelancers outside India — each posting states which countries it covers, because that is determined by where we can contract and pay reliably.

Who it's for

Demonstrable prior work in your specialism — a portfolio, reel, repository or published output
Able to work to a brief and a deadline with limited supervision
Able to invoice us and receive international payment where the role is outside India

Community & campus ambassadors

Always open

A volunteer track for students who want to build the EV community on their own campus. Ambassadors run workshops and screenings, host our hiring events, and get first access to everything we publish. It is unpaid, time-boxed and genuinely useful on a CV.

Who it's for

Currently enrolled students at any institution
Able to commit three to five hours a week for one semester
Interested in EV, clean energy or future mobility
